Below you will find a brief outline of my life to date and links to places, organisations and activities which have or still do influence me.

I was born November 1955 at Bramleymead, Whalley, Nr Blackburn, Lancashire, England.

Untill I was 17 I lived in Great Harwood, near Blackburn.

The happiest days of my life ( so the saying goes ) were spent at Western County Infant and Junior Schools, Great Harwood. Later I attended Clitheroe Royal Grammar School where I was part of some cup winning football (soccer) teams and the school rugby club.

At 17 years of age I was uprooted and moved 25 miles south to Wigan where a place was found for me at Wigan Grammar School.

In 1978 my long suffering girl friend Lynne decided we should get married so in May 1980 she became my long suffering wife and we now have two daughters, Eleanor born in April 1985 and Jacqueline born July 1988.

For many years now I have been employed as a postman but this should not deter you from contacting me by other means.

My interests include

• Rugby League in general, Wigan RLFC in particular.
• Road running. I am secretary of B.S.V.S.C. and was a member of Red Rose Road Runners
• Riding my bike, when not running, on the tracks and lanes around Wigan.
• Beer. Especially when mixed with any of the above three items.
