The Welly wasn't on the list of pubs with "free" beer this year, something to do with people obstructing the road outside. This may have been the reason it wasn't as busy as in previous years but it was still on the route.

We've had this with running events too.
Times change and the use of cars has increased but surely for one day a year we motorists can put up with a little inconvenience !
It's not as if the road is shut all day.

As we had to walk to get to the first official stop this year we'd left the pub before the main body of walkers passed.
